Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and meet your Kitawa Safaris guide. Transfer to your family-friendly lodge surrounded by gardens and space for kids to play. Dinner and overnight in Arusha.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Drive to Tarangire, famous for its giant baobab trees and elephants. Enjoy a relaxed morning game drive followed by a picnic lunch. Children can spot giraffes and zebras up close while parents capture great photos. Continue to your lodge for a sunset dinner overlooking the savannah.

Day 3: Full Day in Tarangire

Spend another day exploring Tarangire. Visit the Silale Swamp, a haven for elephants and birds, and take short guided nature walks near your lodge. Evening storytelling by the campfire — a favorite family moment.

Day 4: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park – Karatu

After breakfast, head to Lake Manyara, known for its tree-climbing lions and colorful flamingos. Enjoy a picnic and a scenic drive before continuing to Karatu. Families can enjoy a pool afternoon and relaxed evening.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Exploration

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an incredible day of wildlife viewing. Watch for buffalo, lions, hippos, and rhinos in this natural amphitheater. Have a picnic lunch at the hippo pool and later return to your lodge for rest.

Day 6: Karatu – Serengeti National Park

Drive to the Serengeti, Tanzania’s most famous park. Along the way, stop at a Maasai village to learn about their culture and daily life — kids love the dancing! Afternoon game drive upon arrival, then check into your family tented camp.

Day 7: Full Day in Serengeti

Enjoy morning and afternoon drives exploring the endless plains. Spot big cats, elephants, and wildebeest herds. Families can take optional breaks at camp during the hottest hours. Dinner under the stars rounds out an unforgettable day.

Day 8: Serengeti – Fly to Zanzibar

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, meet your driver and transfer to your beachfront family resort. Spend the afternoon swimming, relaxing, or walking along the beach.

Day 9: Zanzibar Beach Day & Optional Activities

A full day to enjoy Zanzibar! Choose between snorkeling, visiting a spice farm, exploring Stone Town, or simply relaxing by the water. Family-friendly activities and flexible pacing make this day special for everyone.

Day 10: Departure

Enjoy your final breakfast by the ocean before transferring to Zanzibar Airport for your onward journey.
