Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your Kitawa Safaris representative will meet and transfer you to your lodge in Arusha. Take the evening to relax after your flight and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere before your safari begins.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, known for its majestic baobab trees and large elephant herds. Enjoy your first game drive through rolling savannahs dotted with acacias and wildlife including giraffes, lions, zebras, and wildebeest. Picnic lunch inside the park and continue your exploration until evening. Dinner and overnight near Tarangire.

Day 3: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, journey across the scenic highlands toward the legendary Serengeti — home to the Great Migration and endless horizons. Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive, where you’ll witness the vast herds and perhaps a dramatic predator sighting before settling in at your lodge or tented camp.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti

A full day to explore the magic of the Serengeti. Morning and afternoon game drives reveal abundant wildlife — lions basking under acacia trees, elephants roaming freely, and cheetahs scanning the plains. Optionally, enjoy a sunrise hot-air balloon flight for a bird’s-eye view of the savannah (extra cost).

Day 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, enjoy one last game drive en route to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world. Arrive at your lodge on the crater rim and enjoy sweeping views as the sun sets over one of Africa’s most stunning natural wonders.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Manyara

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a thrilling game drive. The crater floor hosts an extraordinary concentration of wildlife — including lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and if you’re lucky, the rare black rhino. After lunch by the hippo pool, continue to Lake Manyara for an evening rest near the lake.

Day 7: Lake Manyara – Arusha / Departure

Enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and diverse birdlife. Afterward, drive back to Arusha, where you can enjoy lunch and some relaxation before your transfer to the airport or onward travel.
